Injured Hiker, Mt. Whitney

Inyo County Sheriff’s Office received notification of a hiker that was injured glissading from the Trail Crest. The hiker found refuge at the camp until H-80 arrived. She was taken to a local airport where emergency medical services was standing by.

Whitney Hoists

H-82 with two hoist rescues near #mtwhitney yesterday. One near The Whitney Portal and the second farther up the trail near Mirror Lake. Both injured hikers were transported to local hospitals.
